Looking for parents who are
cost-conscious and environmentally
savvy.

Cloth >Disposables
Did you know that there are toxic chemicals present in
disposable diapers?  Dioxin is a by-product from the
paper bleaching process that is used in making
Disposables.  Small quantities of this chemical may be
found in these diapers.  Sodium polyacrylate,(this is
those super absorbent crystals that turn to a jell-like
consistency when baby wets).  This is the same
substance that was linked to toxic shock syndrome and
was removed from tampons.  Other chemicals present
cause emissions that are known to add to respiratory
problems.  Diaper rash increases because of the
allergies linked to the chemicals.  Cloth diapers do not
contain the chemicals that Disposables do.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

Environment has become an important issue these days.  Did you
know that over 8,000 tons of disposable diapers are added to our
landfills every day?  They take up to 500 years to decompose.  Every
year over 1,000,000 metric tons of wood pulp and over 70,000 metric
tons of plastic are used by the Manufacturer to make disposable
diapers.  The American Petroleum Institute states that over 3 billion
gallons of oil were used to produce 18 million disposable diapers.
The U.S. alone uses 27 "billion" disposable diapers a year.  Almost
8,000 disposable diapers are used per child for the approx. 3 years of
diapering.

ALL ADDED TO OUR LANDFILLS.

Fitted cloth diapers
Cloth diapers cost anywhere from $300-$800 per child, from birth
to 3 yr.
Disposables cost between $2,000-$3,000 per child for the entire
diapering time, that's a minimum savings of at least
$1200 per child.  You can save even more because cloth diapers
can be used for more than one child
